You always act so properly
What are you afraid of losing?
That aura of self-control
Or maybe the shell of indifference
You always behave so correctly
What are you afraid to show?
That you are a human too
Or maybe the feelings you try to hide
What would be so bad about ripping that mask off?
How could it ever be a defeat revealing your personality?
Just tell me, please
Don't go hiding your emotions
Don't be so freaking terrified of the world
Don't avoid living
Don't lie to yourself
Because you never get out of it alive anyway
It's not the aim that counts, the journey means everything
You will get scarred
But the scars can help you find out who you are
So don't be afraid to get hurt
That aura of self-control
Or maybe the shell of indifference
You always behave so correctly
What are you afraid to show?
That you are a human too
Or maybe the feelings you try to hide
What would be so bad about ripping that mask off?
How could it ever be a defeat revealing your personality?
Just tell me, please
Don't go hiding your emotions
Don't be so freaking terrified of the world
Don't avoid living
Don't lie to yourself
Because you never get out of it alive anyway
It's not the aim that counts, the journey means everything
You will get scarred
But the scars can help you find out who you are
So don't be afraid to get hurt

Hej!
Ida Maria Vidmark
